Anything but a School Bag Day
Just before Easter, Ms Fannin’s 5th year LCVP class hosted an ‘Anything but a School Bag Day’ in aid of the LauraLynn foundation. The class chose to raise money for the LauraLynn foundation as their core values meant a lot to the group in particular. The charity provides palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The class began brainstorming ideas for the activity back in early January, and were separated into different roles involved in the process. These roles include marketing, finance, charity research and more.
The day of the event consisted of collecting donations for the charity between classes, selecting the most creative students and presenting prizes to the winners for ‘best bag alternative’. After the event, donations were counted and Ms Fannin’s LCVP raised a grand total of €200 in aid of the LauraLynn Foundation.
The class would like to give thanks to all of those who took part in our event and to Ms Fannin and Ms O’Callaghan for helping and supporting the girls throughout the process.
