Kindness and Anti-Bullying
At our school, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive community where every student is treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
We believe that everyone has a role to play in creating a positive school culture. We encourage our students to look out for one another, speak up when something is not right and seek help when they need it.
Bullying behaviour is not acceptable in our school. In line with the Department of Education and Youth’s Bí Cineálta procedures, we work to prevent and address bullying through a whole-school approach centred on kindness, respect and positive relationships.
Our Student-Friendly Anti-Bullying Policy
Our student-friendly guide below explains what bullying is, what students can do if they experience or witness bullying behaviour, and how the school will help.

Our Bí Cineálta Policy
Our school’s full Bí Cineálta Policy to Prevent and Address Bullying Behaviour sets out our approach to preventing bullying, responding when concerns arise and supporting the wellbeing of our students. You can view this policy at this link.
The Board of Management of Dominican College carried out its annual review of the school's Bí Cineálta Policy to Prevent and Address Bullying Behaviour during May and June of 2026 and completed it at its meeting of 25th August 2026.
