Child Protection

The safety and wellbeing of every student in our school is of paramount importance. We are fully committed to providing a safe, supportive and caring environment where all students are respected, valued and protected from harm.

Our school operates in line with the Department of Education and Youth’s Child Protection Procedures for Schools 2025. These procedures set out clear expectations for schools in recognising, responding to, and reporting child protection and welfare concerns.

We have adopted and implemented a comprehensive Child Protection Statement and Risk Assessment, which outline:

  • the measures we take to safeguard students,

  • the potential risks to student safety that we have identified,

  • and the procedures in place to manage and reduce these risks.

All staff are familiar with their responsibilities in relation to child protection and receive regular training and guidance.

We encourage any member of our school community who has a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a student to bring this to our attention. All concerns are treated seriously and handled in accordance with national guidelines.
