Athletics

Athletics in Dominican College has gone from strength to strength in recent years.  Students compete in both cross country events and track and field events throughout the school year. Students have competed at the top level of school athletics both at a provincial level and national level. Most notably, Angela Cielecka (current pupil) has represented Ireland competing in the 100m event and placing in the top 8 of the long jump event at the English championships. Students compete in a variety of specialised events including sprint, long distance, long jump and discus. There is also a run club who meet once a week after school for an easy running session and all abilities are welcome.
